STUART McCall had mixed views after seeing City held 1-1 by Oldham in a match his side dominated.

Billy Clarke’s penalty cancelled out Peter Clarke’s early header for the visitors but City bossed proceedings at Valley Parade.

McCall said: “It’s a point. I’m disappointed with the result but really delighted with the performance again.

“The way we’re going to lose a goal at the moment is through a set-play because we haven’t got much height in the side.

“But I was pleased with the response. It would have been easy to go long but some of the football was terrific.

“We did everything but put the ball in the net from open play. Credit to Oldham, they defended really deep and did well.

“We don’t want to keep going behind but there wasn’t a case of panicking because we’d been there before.”

Paul Anderson was left out of the squad, raising speculation that he could be on his way.

McCall added: “I think the club are in discussions with Paul but at the moment there’s nothing concrete.

“I just thought today we had Fil (Morais) on the bench and two strikers as well so we probably didn’t need Ando as well.

“But I’ve not heard anything from the club so at the moment there’s no situation.”
