ROHAN Smith has hailed the acquisition of London Broncos trio Alex Foster, Iliess Macani and Jon Magrin as the rebuilding process at Odsal continues.

As first revealed by the Telegraph & Argus, the new recruits will join Bradford on two-year deals at the end of the season.

Their arrival comes a day after it was announced that Bulls captain Adrian Purtell will head to the Broncos in a player-coach role in 2017.

Odsal team-mate Jay Pitts will also join Andrew Henderson's promotion hopefuls on a two-year contract at the end of the current campaign.

With over 20 members of the 2016 Bulls squad set to depart, the arrival of Foster, Macani and Magrin has been welcomed with open arms by Smith.

The Bradford head coach said: "I've had great chats with each of them and they laid out their desire to come and represent the Bulls. I've got a lot of belief in their potential and their talents.

"The combination of desire to come and play for the club as well as their talents made it an easy fit for us. I'm looking forward to working with all of the guys."

Foster, a highly-rated centre or second-rower who came through the ranks at Leeds, went out on loan to London and Featherstone Rovers before signing with the Broncos at the end of last season.

"Alex has played a lot in the centre this year, so we'll probably look for him to be a centre for us and maybe a back rower when needed," said Smith.

"He is tremendous kid. I had an hour and half, nearly two hours with him speaking about footie and life.

"He is a really ambitious guy, who is from the region, so he is really hungry to get home and come and represent the Bulls. "

Macani has spent his career in the capital and the speedy winger scored against Leeds in the Qualifiers last weekend.

Smith said: "Iliess has got some serious speed and there are a lot of people within the league who feel he has got a great deal of potential.

"He's performed strongly and he's got a desire to get out of London and come and experience something new and come to the rugby league heartland in the north. Iliess is an exciting player."

Talented young prop Magrin made his Broncos debut in 2014 against Warrington Wolves before featuring for the London side for the past two seasons.

"Jon has had some great performances throughout the season and he's got some real leg speed," said Smith about the Malta international.

"Again, he's got a desire and passion to step outside his comfort zone and try and take his game to the next level."
