UWE Rosler vowed not to press the panic button after Birmingham's 2-0 win in the Sky Bet Championship left Leeds without a home win for seven months.

While Blues manager Gary Rowett hailed a "textbook away performance" as Birmingham maintained an unbeaten league record on their travels, Leeds head coach Rosler was left seeking answers to his side's continued poor home form.

Rosler said: "It was a bad day at the office. I am not panicking or asking for two or three fresh players. That would be wrong. We have to come up with the answers collectively in the dressing room.

"The players want to do well, they prepare well and train well but for some reason we don't get the best from them at Elland Road."

Rosler added: "There was a foul on one of our defenders for the first goal, but their player scored a wonder goal. I am not blaming anyone. They are trying their hardest but we need to be more ruthless and aggressive at times."

The outstanding Demarai Gray took his goal superbly after a slip-up between Sol Bamba and Liam Cooper in the 31st minute and substitute Jacques Maghoma broke through for the second just before the end.

Rowett will discuss Gray's fitness with the England Under-20 management before deciding whether to withdraw him from the squad for the Mercedes-BenzCup competition in Germany.

"He has had a lot of football and he complained to me that he had a groin injury at half-time. I have been tempted to rest him at times and he could probably do without international games at the moment," said the Birmingham boss.

"I am pleased when players get picked for their countries and they are proud to join up but sometimes young players need a rest. He took his goal really well and it has taken some time to arrive. He has tended to snatch at chances or tries to be too precise so I told him to go for power.

"That was our seventh game in 21 days so the odds were stacked against us, but that was a textbook away performance. To limit Leeds to one half-chance, which was brilliantly saved, was very pleasing."

Rosler has plenty of problems to sort out during the international break, while Rowett can bask in his team's excellent form and especially that of Gray, whose class was always evident, much to the delight of on-looking England Under-21 chief Gareth Southgate.

Leeds huffed and puffed, mainly to little effect, and it was not until Jordan Botaka left the bench in place of debutant winger Will Buckley that they posed a genuine threat.

Rosler's men have now failed to score in three of their last four games, severely testing their fans' patience.
