FOUR City of Bradford members have qualified for this year's National Age Group and Youth Championships at Sheffield's Ponds Forge.

Newcomer Danielle Bailey, 16, from Otley, will compete in the 50 metres freestyle, 50m and 100m breaststroke and 150m individual medley in the Youth Championships on August 5-11.

Also swimming at youth level is 18-year old Sam Lawman of Idle, who will take part in the 50m backstroke.

Freestyle specialist Eva Chapman has qualified for the 400m and 800m freestyle events at the National Age Group Championships, which is from July 30-August 3.

Myles Stirk, another 14-year-old from Halifax, has qualified for the 100m freestyle and 200m backstroke and medley events.

All the swimmers train with Bradford Council's Leisure Services Aquatic Competition Programme under the guidance of head coach Andy Pearce and development coach Sarah Fisher.
