A City XI, mainly made up of youth players and trialists, were beaten 2-0 at Ossett Town tonight.

Rob Bordman and Luke Blackburn scored the goals in the second half.

City fielded only four senior players – James Meredith, Jason Kennedy, Raffaele De Vita and Matt Taylor.

Their best chance came from youth striker Reece Webb-Foster, whose lob hit the bar.

New loan goalkeeper Jordan Pickford was not involved.
