LOW Moor Holy Trinity took advantage of their weekend break from the Foster's Halifax League to hold an eight-a-side tournament in memory of their former player David Tempest, who died last September.
The event, planned by his family and friends, not only remembered 'Tank, but also raised money for the PHAB (Physically Handicapped, Able Bodied) Group, who David supported as a volunteer.
Over 300 people attended the day and £500 was raised for the Bradford-based charity.
Queensbury won the tournament, and Low Moor's chairman Tony Hubbert said: “The event was a resounding success and has helped to raise the profile of this wonderful charity, while allowing us all time to reflect on the role David played at the club."
