Yorkshire have taken three wickets before lunch on day three as they pursue an LV= County Championship victory over Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

Ryan Sidebottom. Jack Brooks and Steve Patterson got rid of Varun Chopra, Jim Troughton and Sam Hain respectively to leave the score at 66-3 in the 29th over as the Bears attempt to overhaul a first-innings deficit of 194.

They have since reached lunch at 68-3 from 31 overs, trailing by 126.

Chopra was lbw to Sidebottom, leaving the score at 8-1 in the seventh over.

Troughton then fell into the trap set by Brooks and Andrew Gale as he scooped a Brooks short ball to Karl Carver positioned three-quarters of the way to the fence at backward square-leg as the hosts slipped to 19-2 in the tenth.

He had been hit on the helmet shortly before. Will Porterfield and Hain steadied the ship before the latter was bowled by Patterson on the verge of lunch.
