CRICKET: A third Bradford school have confirmed their place in the Yorkshire West Area final of the Drax Cup – the biggest cricket competition for under-nines in the United Kingdom.
Farnham Primary won both their matches against Southmere and Springwood in a partnership play-off at Great Horton Church Cricket Club.
They now join Thornbury and Eastwood, along with the other area finalists, on Thursday, June 19 at Pudsey St Lawrence Cricket Club.
A fourth Bradford area finalist will also be known following a play-off between Low Ash and Wellington primaries at Karmand Centre Cricket Club this Thursday.
Both schools came through an earlier Hanson Academy School Sports Partnership group stage involving Lapage, High Crags, Feversham, Peel Park and Westbourne schools.
The four area winners will play the 2014 Drax Cup finals at Headingley on Wednesday, July 2.
