Nasser Hussain scored two of the goals as TVR United beat Ravensthorpe Bulls 7-4 in the Spen Valley League to secure second place in the Premier Division.
The Bulls must settle for third place after this defeat ended their hopes of overhauling TVR, who can still mathematically pip Route One Rovers to the title but would require an outrageous sequence of results to do so.
Faisal Shabir, Junaid Taj, Asif Iqbal, Mohammed Abdalla and Abid Khan added to Hussain’s double in TVR’s win.
Savile United crushed second-bottom Savile Town 6-1 and now need to avoid defeat by more than two goals in their final Division One match against closest rivals Smokin’ Aces to clinch second place behind champions March.
Howden Clough ended their campaign on a high as they beat basement side Cleckheaton Sporting 5-1 with goals from Gary Woods, Simon Moore, Reece Scholes, Corey Starkey and Paul Doyle.
