Laisterdyke A seal title in style
Laisterdyke A clinched the Division Three title in the Bradford League with a resounding 9-1 victory at nearest rivals Embassy B.
The two teams were relegated last season but are set for a swift return as they have dominated this section from the start.
Laisterdyke have a 100 per cent record and their trio of Fazal Hussain, Peter Holbrook and Stuart Beaumont were ruthless as they allowed Embassy only four games in winning all nine singles.
Police have won Division One, while Laisterdyke B and Hermits I are champions of Division Four and Five respectively.
The destiny of the Division Two title is between Hermits B and Yeadon B. The two teams are level but Hermits have a game in hand, which should prove decisive in their favour.
Hermits H are favourites to claim second place in Division Four following their 6-4 victory at Fastbats D.
Joe Jonas and Kath Manogue edged Hermits 2-0 up but they were stunned as Fastbats won the next four games, with Colin Priestley taking two and John Porter and Richard Knowles one each.
But Hermits bounced back to win the last four and now lead Rastrick by five points with a home game against bottom side Laisterdyke C to come as they look to make sure of runners-up spot.
