SIR – It is not often that the public give praise to the media, but I feel it would be remiss of me not to congratulate the T&A for highlighting and bringing to the notice of the public that the Labour group chief whip, Councillor Sher Khan (Little Horton) had ignored the planning permission that had previously been given for a “granny flat” to be built in the garden of his home in Cleckheaton Road, Low Moor.
This led to him having to apply for retrospective planning permission to correct the unauthorised flat. Indeed, “what sort of an example is this?”
Due to your excellent coverage, I have been inundated with requests from my constituents that Councillor Sher Khan should be brought to task for this and should resign from holding public office.
