SIR - I believe that laws may need to be changed to protect people in the UK from excessive neighbour noise and to bring the UK into line with the stricter neighbour noise laws of Germany.

This is a major problem for me regarding my quality of life in an English city, namely Bradford.

I should have been given a recording device back in May when excessive anti-social noise from a house started, in order to clear the matter up quickly and efficiently. Instead I have had to endure high volume music for more than three months.

In a country such as the United Kingdom people should be protected. People living in a residential street of small flats and small terrace houses are entitled to a good quality of life.

Shame on the city of Bradford.
