SIR - Many years of driving in Bradford have taught me that there is a version of the Highway Code which appears to be specific to Bradford.
For example:
* My direction indicators are purely for decoration, and serve no useful purpose.
* Pavements are useful places on which I may park. (Those with wheelchairs or pushchairs have four wheels, and should therefore go by in the road.)
* Lane discipline is only required when travelling on small roads in the countryside.
* At traffic lights “Just-gone–to-Red” is the new “Green”.
Additions to this list from your correspondents would be welcome.
