SIR - Once again the spectre of a One City Park development has been raised by Bradford Council (T&A, June 27).
There is probably a widespread opinion that this site should be left alone, highlighting the nearby buildings that are City Hall, the Alhambra Theatre and the Odeon building.
It is hard to believe that any office development on that site would complement those wonderful buildings, but no doubt Bradford Council will ignore all this and simply look to some extra rateable income.
The last thing we need is some modern monstrosity disfiguring the views currently available - as did the dreadful Tyrls Police Station before it was demolished.
Further, there must surely be no question of any speculative development here, risking moneys provided by local ratepayers. Please just leave well alone.
