SIR - Congratulations to the T&A on its 150th anniversary. Like it or loathe it, the T&A is a major news vehicle for Bradfordians none more so than for those with poor eyesight.
How many sighted readers knew that virtually every week for 33 of those 150 years, teams of volunteers have been making audio recordings of T&A articles and posting them out to visually impaired people? This service is free to listeners but it can only continue if new people are able to help.
If you think donating a couple of hours of your time is a good idea but wouldn't want do it every week, volunteering with the TT is perfect for you. There is a lot more to do than reading aloud so don’t hesitate, email talkingtelegraphbradford@hotmail.co.uk or leave your name and contact details on our Helpline 07908273899.
Please join our friendly team to help visually impaired people access the T&A at least for some of the next 150 years!
