SIR - Let's have a big screen in Centenary Square. What a wonderful idea, and a great way to attract visitors to the centre of Bradford, something that is much needed.

Now let's see. What is the biggest sporting tournament in the world, and one that many people will want to see? Ah yes, the football World Cup. What an ideal opportunity to showcase the big screen, and bring in desperately needed custom to the city.

How sad then that we have such a useless and inept Council who don't feel that this tournament can be shown on the screen. You really couldn't make it up. We surely must have one of the worst local councils in the whole country.
