SIR - Recently I attended an excellent fundraising dinner held by Shipley Conservatives, in the presence of our local MP, Philip Davies, along with Esther McVey MP (Tatton), the headline speaker being Sir Graham Brady MP, the Chairman of the Conservative 1922 Committee.
Sir Graham gave us an inspirational speech, telling of life in Parliament and how the Conservative Party was again expanding its membership, that the Party can build on the 42.5 percent of the vote that we acquired at the last General Election.
However the real highlight of the splendid evening was the significant group of young adults supporting the event. This group of 20 somethings were smart well dressed, full of vivacious life buoyancy enthusiasm, they really enjoyed themselves. Reminding me, along with my contemporaries of 50 years ago.
It is marvellous to realise that not all young people today are blighted by the grip of Corbyn’s Momentum thugs.
