SIR - The imposing 19th Century former training college on Mornington Road in Bingley, which was left to Bradford Council for educational use, has, it seems, been dreadfully handled by the Council.
Perry Austin-Clarke tells us (T&A, June 19) that they took the slate roof off the building in 2009 and then apparently forgot about it until it was too late to save.
This would appear to be yet another example of total incompetence within the Council. What we deserve to be told is how this was allowed to happen, who was responsible, and what action has been taken against the individuals concerned.
Over to you Bradford Council. Those of us who pay our exorbitant rates deserve to be told, and surely should be?
This shouldn't be another issue just swept under the carpet, and with possibly incompetent staff left to carry on untouched.
Bob Watson, Springfield Road, Bradford
