SIR - Michael Collins may be the right coach for Bradford City. Of that no-one can be sure either way. And, yes, every new appointment at a football club is a gamble to some extent. However, it does seem strange that six weeks elapsed and numerous candidates were interviewed before the job was finally given to someone who hadn't applied for it and who was already at the club. And that person- the successful 'candidate' (at least on paper) - must have been the least qualified of them all.

Truth to tell, there have been quite a few strange, inexplicable things happening at Valley Parade since the present owners took over at BCAFC. Comings and goings and actions have begun to mount up. But, perhaps the only way to make sense of it all is to look at certain other teams where the owners have exerted their right to total control in a similar fashion to Messrs Rahic and Rupp.

These owners do what they like, hiring and firing with frequent regularity and do not feel the need to answer to anyone, least of all supporters, whether it goes right...or wrong.
