SIR - This Father’s Day I’m looking forward to being a little spoilt by my family. I have three gorgeous children who I don’t take for granted because eight years ago I was given the shocking news that my eldest daughter had a brain tumour. She was just three years old.
Father’s Day is a reminder of how far my daughter has come and of how tough it was caring for our seriously ill child whilst also looking after her baby sister.
Thankfully for us, we found an incredible national organisation, called Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, who paired us with an expert Family Support Worker who helped us cope at home, in hospital and in our community.
If you can, please join me in supporting Rainbow Trust by visiting rainbowtrust.org.uk and help other dads who are still caring for a seriously ill child this Father’s Day.
