SIR - Despite the so-called crack down on Bradford's horrendous driving standards there is no sign of any improvement and if anything standards are deteriorating even further. Anyone having the misfortune to visit one of the main Bradford hospitals faces a terrifying journey.

Parking on pavements and fly tipping have become the norm and drug dealing is conducted openly on numerous street corners , there are also many no go areas in the city with ambulance crews and fire fighters having to run a gauntlet of being stoned and abused.

A police force who are seemingly instructed to cause no offence to certain parts of the community and a judiciary unfit for purpose have played a major part in the continuing decline of our city into anarchy.

Several American cities faced similar issues and they resolved the problem by conducting a zero tolerance policy against all criminals, however minor the offences .

We are fast approaching the point when some of our cities, London included, will be ungovernable unless drastic action is taken.
