SIR - Alan Chapman, (“The option is there to relocate to Germany”, T&A, letters, March 21), writes of the UK “shackled” to the EU - an odd turn of phrase for one of that institution’s leading members with a major influence on its activities.

It is also unlikely that there could be a fight against UKIP in a year or two’s time - WENGIP, possibly, (Wales and England Independence Party), as the other nations go their own way.

Tempting though a relocation to Germany might be, I cannot abandon my country to the usurpers of democracy that are Brexiteers especially those in the “democratic “ Tories.

Sadly, I believe that the country has been irrevocably set on the path of division and self-destruction.

Little England will finally lose any significant voice in the world - a fitting end to the dinosaurs who cannot accept that their version of “democracy” is past its sell-by date: hoist by their own petard.
