SIR - I would be delighted if one of your regular correspondents on the ‘leave’ side of the debate would answer a simple question.
How do you think that we will fare in securing a deal to operate within the single market, without being a member, that is as good as or better than we now have?
Without access to the EU markets and the customs union, we will struggle to hang on to our vital car industries and financial services, so unless our gallant Brexiteers can strike a deal on a par with current EU members it would appear that we will be left feeding off the scraps offered by a certain Mr Donald J Trump!
Answers on a postcard please.
Colin Durkin, Moffat Close, Bradford
