SIR – Please, please Bradford Council will you empty the litter bin in Town Lane, Idle.
You have removed the other litter bin and in spite of several requests have refused to reinstall it. The other across the other side of the road is filled to overflowing as it rarely gets emptied so people are depositing their litter below it, which includes several bags of dog mess.
There are three schools using Town Lane with all the ensuing litter they bring, in particular Immanuel College. No doubt the Council is aware that Bradford is rated number 10 in the worst places to live in the United Kingdom.
I do appreciate that there have to be cutbacks but this reflects badly on our city. How can we train litter louts when bins are taken away and remaining ones not emptied?
