SIR – So, coach parties and many others who will be visiting such tourist hotspots of Saltaire, Ilkley and Haworth will, on arrival, be unable to use the loo, because Bradford Council has made the ludicrous decision to close all but one of the toilets that were available.

Surely, when one has been travelling for a couple of hours or more, the first thing one wants to do, on arrival, is to visit the loo. It’s a normal bodily function!

Where, in heavens name, do these Councillors think they will now go - to the nearest bookies, pub or, perhaps, behind the nearest bush?

I, and my wife, regularly walk our dog on Haworth Moor and use the loos close to the Bronte Parsonage, before looking around the shops in Haworth village.

No more, I’m afraid. No doubt many others will be in the same position.

Traders is these attractions will certainly lose financially.

Surely, there must have been some financial alternatives to keep the toilets open, rather than close them. I, for one, would gladly pay 50p to use the loo, instead of having to hare around, trying to find the nearest bookies, pub, or bush!
