SIR - Once again we have Mr Suchi extolling the virtues of US President, Donald J Trump (Letters, February 7).

I, like a lot of other fearful people around the world, could list the endless dangers that surround us following his election but I am limited to the amount of words that can be used. Being elected does not give anyone the right to persecute any given race or religion and the only thing that Mr Trump is likely to succeed at in any measure is the rapid radicalisation of thousands of disaffected and insulted, normally moderate Muslims around the world.

Already he is firing anyone around him who refuses to follow his orders and threatening to silence sections of the media that publicly disagree with him.
