SIR - Not wanting to only use your letters page to vent anger or highlight incompetence in our road network, I would like to acknowledge the fact that it is now easier to exit both Hillam Road and Gaisby Lane onto or across Canal Road now that the puffin crossings change to red when traffic is built up on either road.
This is due to detectors in the roads that see the traffic congestion leading onto Canal Road and change the lights to red giving time for drivers to exit the junction.
Maybe a box junction should be created at the junction of Gaisby Lane and Canal Road so when the lights are red we can exit across and the cars heading towards Shipley can leave room for more cars to exit the junction.
