SIR – I was sorry to read that Bob Watson (Letters, March 26) is upset by the number of ‘left wing’ readers expressing their discontent with the government.
I wonder if he has considered the possibility that perhaps, the vast majority of the country (the 99%) have woken up to the fact that this government has propped up the financial/corporate elite (the 1%) with taxpayers’ money for five long years.
They then demonstrate the most breathtaking arrogance by announcing there is much worse to come if re-elected.
On the plus side, Mr Watson will be pleased to note that the Tory message is getting out.
Only today, I noticed West Yorkshire Police have taken advertising on the back of Bradford buses to inform the public that there are now some 1,000 less police on the streets of our county as a result of Tory/LibDem cuts.
