SIR – Jo Winrow’s article about electoral fraud seemed to leave more questions than answers (T&A, January 29).

What on earth do “political void” and “ethnic kinship network” mean? And how will ID cards at polling stations prevent fraud?

As for postal vote fraud, it must be very difficult to detect and may well be rife, despite Bradford Council’s counter-measures of “checking postal vote identifiers and scrutiny of records, applications received and analysis of data and historic patterns”.
