IT doesn't take much to offend the Twitterati and, sure enough, a couple of swear words and a lairy sketch on last week's Comic Relief night sparked a flurry of outrage.
But of the 151 complaints Ofcom received about the BBC's TV fundraiser, many related to sound problems.
To be fair, the sound was poor - even Sir Lenny Henry ended up shouting at the studio audience to be quiet.
To me it seemed like producers had deliberately tried to create a 'Friday night down the pub' vibe, something The Tube was doing on telly 30 years ago. It didn't sit well on Comic Relief.
Telethons are annoying enough - over-paid celebrities urging us to hand over money - without the jarring all-mates-together chatter in the background of what is meant to be a TV show.
It showed a lack of respect for the viewers.
