Firefighters from five districts carried out a dramatic three-hour rescue after a foal became stuck in a hole at Triangle Farm, Hightown, Liversedge. Crews from Odsal, Batley, Cleckheaton, Hunslet and Dewsbury were called to the scene shortly after 1pm yesterday. A spokesman for Cleckheaton crew, which used its major rescue unit, said the animal had survived.
