Police in fresh appeal over two robberies
Detectives have made a fresh appeal for information about two robberies.
In both raids - at Scholes Cricket Club, Cleckheaton, and The Tipp Inn, Atlas Road Mills, Brighouse - customers were forced to hand over property and demands were made to staff for money from the till by four masked, armed raiders.
In the cricket club robbery, at about 8.30pm on Monday, March 24, the raiders were armed with a crowbar and screwdrivers and are escaped in an L-registered red Volvo estate car.
The men in the second raid were carrying a fence post, crowbar and monkey wrench. Detectives are probing possible links between the two robberies.
Detective Sergeant Gary Stephenson, of Calderdale CID, said: "We are still investigating the two offences and are anxious to hear from anyone who can help. Someone must know who is responsible."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0845 6060606, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
