A woman in her 20s was dramatically rescued from a house fire.

Firefighters from Brighouse and Cleckheaton put a ladder up to an upstairs window when a blaze broke out at Bramston Street, Rastrick, at 11.20pm last night.

Officers were able to fight the downstairs blaze and rescue the occupant from inside the house.

The blaze, which raged for about an hour, is being treated as suspicious.
