Hotel wins top tourism award

The Devonshire Arms has been singled out for praise in this year's tourism "Oscars".
The hotel at Bolton Abbey, near Skipton, was named Small Hotel of the Year in tonight's Enjoy England Awards for Excellence.
It joined such diverse facilities as Arsenal's Emirates Stadium (best business tourist venue), the Salty Monk in Devon (best bed and breakfast) and the Sunderland International Airshow (best tourism experience).
The Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel and Spa has been in the family of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire since 1753, and was originally a coaching inn.
