TEAM GB rower Tom Ransley officially opened the new Aldi store in Barnoldswick last Thursday. After cutting the ribbon, he treated the first 30 customers in the queue to free bags of fresh fruit and veg.
Tom said: “A big thank you to everyone who came down to Aldi this morning to celebrate with us. I had a fantastic morning meeting lots of excited shoppers who seemed pleased with their new Aldi store.”
After the opening, Tom, who won gold in the men’s eight at the 2016 Rio Olympics, visited St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School to talk about benefits of healthy eating, keeping active and his sporting achievements.
