PENDLE Council has teamed up with the Dogs’ Trust to provide a free event in Earby.

The event, which takes place from 11am to 3pm on Tuesday at the Earby Parish Rooms, on Victoria Road, includes a check your chip service, nail clipping and a basic health check by a veterinary nurse.

The health check includes looking at eyes, ears, teeth and weight, to make sure dogs are happy, fit and healthy.

All dog owners who attend the event will be provided with a responsible dog ownership pack.

Free goodie packs will also be available for puppy owners and those who are thinking of getting a puppy.

Extra goodie packs will be available for those wanting to learn how to stay healthy with their dog.

Pendle dog warden Laura Robinson said: “Please remember all dogs must wear a collar, be on a lead and with someone who is 18 years or over.

“Any puppies up to the age of six months must be fully vaccinated and carried and the Dogs’ Trust will need proof of address.”

The Dogs’ Trust may ask for proof of vaccination, too, so dog owners must bring documentation along.
