FOUR women from Canada and Germany recently visited the Gospel Mission in Barnoldswick.
The Capernwray Bible School pupils visited the church to gain practical experience in Christian ministry.
They were going to do assemblies in junior schools and teach a lesson about faith in West Craven High School. They did some assemblies but the snow prevented their visit to the high school. Instead, they offered help to people living near the Mission and visited residents of Cravenside Home for Older People.
They then gathered 35 adults, young people and children for an impromptu family day. In the evening they visited a youth group.
On their final day they braved the cold to perform an open air drama in the town square, and took the evening service at the Gospel Mission before being given a fond farewell.
