THE leadership award celebrates the person or team who leads the school and steers it to success.
Nominees can include a headteacher, principal, leader or head of an academy chain they are responsible for running.
An education establishment can only succeed if the people at the top have drive, vision and management skills to make it all happen. We want you to tell us about leaders that push a positive ethos and drive the entire school forward.
The award could go to a teacher who has consistently led the school to success, or someone who has helped turn around a school’s fortunes.
Which of Bradford’s school leaders has the determination that earns them the respect of staff, parents and teachers?
Which schools could not function as well without their efforts?
It may be a teacher who makes an obvious impact, or one who is always there to offer a safe pair of hands.
At the last event the award went to Sharon Lambert, head of Allerton Primary School.
She had been nominated by a grandparent of a child from the school, Susan Brown, who praised the head for her commitment and leadership in making the school a “shining light” for what primary schools can be and making it a “cohesive school where staff, pupils and parents value each other.”
