A series of landscape photographs showing familiar places in a strange new light has gone on display in Otley.

Bill Major's exhibition at the Upper Gallery of Cherished, in Market Street, shows places like Otley's Manor Square as they have never been seen before, stretched and, in some cases, merged with shots from other towns.

Shop owner Catherine Bowhill said: "The exhibition's called How It Really Is Not How It Looks, and features a variety of different images. Some show a sky, for example, from one place with a landscape from another, others have 400 or 500 images merged together to create a landscape."

The pictures will be on display from 9.30am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday, until Sunday, April 27.
