SKY Sports presenter and darts anchor Dave Clark, 52 is walking from his home town in Ilkley along the Dalesway covering 85 miles in six days to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.

Since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s six years ago, Dave has dedicated much of his time to fundraising and raising awareness of the condition. He said: “Every step is precious. Please sponsor me if you’re able, or maybe join me for a few steps in my march for a cure. Thanks so much for your support. Exercise can be really beneficial to people living with Parkinson’s. It is as important to me as my medication in helping me take control and manage my symptoms.”

Joining Dave on the walk is his good friend, Martin Turner, 60. As the former head of Sky Sports F1 coverage from 2011 to 2017, he has been living with Parkinson’s for three years.

The pair set off from the Old Bridge in Ilkley at 10am on Sunday and plan to finish the walk on September 14.
