A man has died after fire broke out in the bedroom of his Bradford home today.
Firefighters were called to the semi-detached house in Green Lane, Idle, at 12.18pm.
On arrival the crews discovered the front door of the property was open and found the man in the bathroom.
He was resuscitated outside the house and was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary. But the man, believed to be in his 60s, was pronounced dead a short time later.
Crew manager Nigel Dickinson said the fire was contained to the bedroom which was badly damaged.
The top floor was also damaged by the smoke.
Fire investigation officers were trying to find out the cause of the fire.
