Police were called to a disturbance during a wake at a club in Girlington, Bradford, last night.
Two groups of people were involved in the incident at Whetley Lane Working Men's Club in Whitefield Place just before 9pm.
It is believed the wake followed the funeral of a 75-year-old Irish woman at a nearby church.
A spokesman for West York-shire Police said: "We believe it was a wake after a funeral and they had been drinking all af-ternoon. Whether this other group of people turned up, I don't know at this stage."
He added that police quelled the incident and there had not been any arrests.
