The 102nd Wharfedale Festival of Performing Arts opens tomorrow.
The event starts at 10am in Riddings Hall, Ilkley, with songs from young vocalists and other musical classes, and in All Saints Church from 4pm for instrumental and vocal entries, including three organ soloists.
The festival continues throughout the week, concluding on Saturday, May 17, at Riddings Hall and Craiglands, where one of the star attractions will be a mixed-voice choir from Northern Ireland.
Tickets can be bought at any of the festival venues: Baptist Church, Monday to Tuesday; Christchurch, Wednesday to Saturday; Craiglands, Tuesday evening, Thursday morning and afternoon, Friday morning and afternoon and Saturday afternoon; Riddings Hall, every day except Sunday.
Tickets cost £2, with children free. Programmes at £3.50 will be available at the Grove Bookshop and the Tourist Information Centre in Station Road.
The celebration concert and prize presentation will be held in Christchurch, Ilkley, at 7pm on Wednesday, May 21. Tickets at £5, concession £4, are available at the Riddings Hall box office throughout festival week and on the door.
