A 25-year-old man fell from scaffolding on the first floor at Bradford Grammar School injuring his leg and shoulder today.
The contract worker, believed to be from Bradford, suffered a fractured collar bone and wrist, minor head injuries and possible fractured ribs.
Police were called to the scene at 12.50am, shortly before he was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the Health and Safety Executive will be looking into the incident, although there were no suspicious circumstances.
He said: "They are quite serious injuries but thankfully not life-threatening."
