Bradford North Police are appealing for people in Eccleshill and Idle who may have received letters of a racist nature to come forward.
Over the last fortnight, Bradford North Police have received five complaints from people in the Idle Road area who have received letters of an offensive and racist nature.
A West Yorkshire police spoke-sman said: "It is believed likely that more residents have received or will receive similar letters and we are keen for people to report the matter."
