A man with mental health problems was rescued after a fire started in his home.
Firefighters were called to Upper Rushton Road, Bradford Moor, to reports of a flat fire at 11.30am yesterday.
The small fire caused damage to the flat’s kitchen, including the cooker. Crews from Bradford and Idle used breathing apparatus to get inside the flat and put out the flames.
The man was taken to hospital. Representatives from social services and the police also attended.
