FESTIVITIES came to an end on Saturday as 2018’s Bradford CAMRA Beer Festival was brought to a close with a packed house at Victoria Hall in Saltaire.

Saturday’s afternoon and evening sessions were both sell outs, following on from record attendances on Thursday and Friday.

Crowds at Saturday’s festival were entertained by the Hall Royd Brass Band during the afternoon and Wild Geese in the evening, as punters enjoyed more than 130 beers, 20 ciders, perries, fruit wines, and hundreds of bottles international beers.

Festival organiser Kerr Kennedy said the festival was a great success.

He said: “We had a sell out on Friday afternoon, and our best ever attendance on THurssday.

“Both Saturday sessions were alos sell outs.”

While there were more than 100 beers available to taste, Mr Kennedy said Keighley brewer’s Timothy Taylor’s new seasonal beer, the 5.8% ABV Cook Lane IPA, was a clear favourite at the festival.

“Timothy Taylor launched its new IPA, and that went down really well with our guests,” he added.
