A BRADFORD Council owned car park has sold for £10,000 more than the guide price at a property auction.

The 13 space car park on Tunwell Street in Eccleshill was one of the lots at a Pugh property auction, held in Leeds on Wednesday.

The 438 square metre plot, in the middle of an area of industrial units, had a guide price of £18,000, but ended up selling for £28,000 on the day.

Another council owned property that went under the hammer at the auction failed to sell.

An empty two room cottage on Park Grove in Queensbury had gone under the hammer with a £55,000 guide price.

Private lots included five individual workshop units on Girlington Road, which sold for between £64,000 and £98,000.

Two studio flats at Cheapside Chambers in Bradford city centre, failed to sell for £25,000 a piece.
