Creative pupils at Horton Park Primary School are in the process of designing their own wildlife garden.
With help from staff, pupils at the Dawnay Road school aim to create an eco-area with a small wetland in a bid to attract all manner of weird and wonderful creatures.
Janet Esposito, project leader, said: "The children are very excited and are looking forward to creating the garden.
"We hope the wetland area will attract frogs and bird and other creatures too and will give the children the chance to study wildlife at close quarters. The garden will provide cross-curricular benefits for the children and will I am sure prove very popular!"
The school also plans to lay a wheelchair accessible path to ensure the garden is open to all.
