Underage drinkers

SIR – It was reported (T&A, June 19) that police from the Great Horton and Little Horton Neighbourhood Policing Team had seized alcohol from underage drinkers, all boys under 17.

The report went on to say that the officers had explained to the youths that they were not allowed to drink alcohol due to their age.

Do these officers really believe that the youths required such an explanation? Do they honestly think that the boys were unaware that they were breaking the law?

Ridiculous! The youths really must be quaking in their boots!
